Vax have been going for 40 years, creating new and wonderful ways to vacuum your home more efficiently.
The company was first founded in 1977 by a British entrepreneur, Alan Brazier. It was created in Alan’s hometown, Droitwich, worcestershire.
The inspiration came after he got a contract to clean Newport Pagnell service station. Alan soon realised that there was room for a large improvement concerning the equipment.
With this motivation, Alan created a 3 in 1 hoover that would wash, suck up spillage and vacuum carpets.
After making sure the design was perfect and ran smoothly he released it. Within 8 years the Vax 101 was the best-selling vacuum in the UK.
By 1995 Vax products were able to be bought across 50 different countries. 4 years later Vax joined the TTI group which helped speed up Vax’s global conquest.
Production of Vax vacuums moved abroad from the UK but the research and development team stayed in the midlands conjuring new and improved plans for efficient and time saving vacuums.
Throughout the years, Vax’s range of products expanded vastly.
From upright carpet washers to handheld vacuums. Without argument their most innovative technology they produced was the cordless vacuums.
These, at the time, new Air Cordless vacuums could clean your house for 50 minutes.
